Scott Deetz is the Founder, CEO and chief visionary of Entrepreneurial Advantage. The product of an entrepreneurial family, himself, Scott's dedication to innovative organizations has been a guiding force throughout his career. After graduating with honors from the University of Wisconsin, Scott engineered the growth of his own comparative rating and management system company, MI-Assistant Software, to the point of serving over 2,000 leading insurance agencies. Having achieved regional dominance, he then led the successful sale of the company to Fiserv, Inc. in 2003. Since then, he has invested countless hours and limitless energy in teaching independent business owners how to combine marketing strategy and digital technology to achieve their professional goals and financial freedom.
Rick Adams As the Vice President of Corporate Strategy for Entrepreneurial Advantage, Rick Adams leads the identification of strategic growth opportunities and the linking of corporate strategy to executional plans and financial models. Prior to joining EA, he served as a Vice President of Corporate Development at PC Solutions, where he drove a dramatic increase in recurring revenue and profitability. Immediately preceding PC Solutions, Rick was a Partner at Integral Advisors, providing financial and strategic advisory services, identifying strategic alternatives and executing M&A transactions. A graduate of the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, Rick's career has also included successful leadership positions with such respected organizations as Fulcrum3, Agiliti and John G. Kinnard.
Andrea Nyseth As the Vice President of Operations for Entrepreneurial Advantage, Andrea Nyseth plays a pivotal role in the progress and success of both the agency and its clientele. Her key areas of expertise include organizational process, procedures, policies and staffing. Before signing on with EA, Andrea served as a Senior Vice President for MI-Assistant Software, where she successfully led and developed a team of approximately 75 employees. Although her Accounting degree makes her a star at balancing a checkbook, her real talent is in balancing client and employee needs with those of the company.
Mike Peterson is the Vice President of Client Experience for EA and a driving force behind its digital marketing programs. His experience in both insurance agency and vendor environments has helped him develop a unique talent for designing digital solutions from the user's point-of-view. As a licensed insurance agent, his career has included management of personal lines in one of the Upper Midwest's largest agencies. As an Internet marketing specialist, he's played a major role in technical projects on both a regional and national level. From 1993 to 2006, Mike served in several critical positions that drove the growth and eventual acquisition of MI-Assistant Software – including leadership of Project & Product Management.
Robert Allan Paul As a seasoned veteran with successful experience on all sides of the agency-media-client relationship, Robert provides a unique, universal perspective on the marketing process. Over the course of a career now spanning three decades, he's helped dozens of successful companies build their brands and achieve their goals. Before joining EA as our VP of Brand Strategy, Robert served as the Vice President & Managing Director of Cuneo Advertising, where he designed an agency development program that produced an average increase of 18% in annual revenue for six consecutive years. He has also served as the Vice President of Client Services for Scanlon+Turner Advertising, Marketing Director of Life Time Fitness, National Director of Marketing for Westwood One, and Director of Client Services at CBS Radio.
Becky Gamble As our chief SEO Strategist, Becky Gamble is fascinated by Internet marketing and the related interplay of psychology, language and technology. Her experience in the field includes positions as an information architect and SEM manager for the Minnesota School of Business+Globe University, e-Commerce digital marketing specialist for 3M Company, and SEO copywriter for FindLaw. In addition to an MBA from Globe University, an MAT from the University of St. Thomas, and a B.A. from the University of Minnesota, Becky's academic credentials also include coursework in information architecture, user experience design, programming and web development.
Nick Unsworth is a renowned marketer, a prolific trainer and the Director of Social Media for Entrepreneurial Advantage. His entrepreneurial spirit, razor sharp intellect and easy-going manner make him a visionary member of the team, and a sought-after speaker among our clientele. In addition to his current role, Nick has also enjoyed significant success in a variety of industry verticals, and advised hundreds of small business owners on the best practices of social marketing.
